Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Software Developer with expertise in Liferay and Java to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web portals and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Liferay platform features, Java programming, and web technologies to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop web-based solutions using the Liferay DXP/Portal platform.
Customize and configure Liferay portals, themes, and layouts based on business requirements.
Implement and integrate Liferay APIs, portlets, hooks, and extensions.
Develop custom modules and components using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and other frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze technical and business requirements.
Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications and portals.
Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
Maintain proper documentation for design, development, and implementation processes.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Liferay DXP/Portal development (portlet development, hooks, themes, and layouts).
Strong programming experience with Java and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
Good understanding of RESTful APIs and SOAP-based web services.
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, and front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of application servers like Tomcat, JBoss, or WebSphere.
Version control systems like Git or SVN.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in Liferay development and Java programming.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Liferay DXP or Java.

Job Responsibilities:
- Ideation and implementation special projects from Chairmans office across newly identified growth sectors such as Electric Vehicles, Electronics, Medical devices, etc.
- Monitoring, reporting and impact measurement on critical projects to the Chairman
- Assessing market trends and keeping track of competitors to identify threats/ opportunities
- Review performance of business verticals and identifying solutions & implementing them
- Work closely with business teams to identify initiatives and drive actions change across identified projects
- Supporting and guiding senior executive decision-making processes
- Assisting M&A team in identifying opportunities, due diligence & deal closure
Requirements:
- Education: B. tech and Engineering from IITs and Masters degree from IIMs or ISB(Hyderabad) or Ivy League Universities
Experience/ Skill-set:
- 6 -12 years work experience with 5 - 10 years work experience in management consulting, strategic planning, or any other strategy role;
- Client facing role - went in person to client and spent most time doing work on client location
- Worked on strategy projects and not IT projects
- Detailed understanding of business operations and procedures
- Strong research and analytical abilities & project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
